
Odisha government transfers 19 OPS officers; Berhampur gets new Additional SP
Bhubaneswar (09/10/2025): The Odisha government on Thursday transferred 19 Odisha Police Service (OPS) officers across the state.According to a notification issued by the Home department, Alok Kumar Jena who was serving as Additional SP, Balangir, has been posted as Additional SP, Berhampur. Similarly, Seema Swain, the outgoing SP, Berhampur, has been shifted to the office of the IGP, NCR, Talcher. Indurekha Paschimakabata has been posted as Additional SP, IUCAW, Dhenkanal, while Amrit Kumar Panda has been transferred as Additional SP, IUCAW, Balangir. Besides, Swastik Panda will now serve with the Vigilance Organisation, and Sourav Otta has been moved to the State Police Headquarters, Cuttack. Pravat Kumar Biswal has been shifted to IUCAW, Kendrapara, and Sanjeev Kumar Satapathy posted to the Special Task Force (STF) Wing, Bhubaneswar. This apart, Sasmita Sahoo, Aswini Kumar Nayak and Devjeet Bhattacharya have been reassigned to Vigilance and DIB units. Other transfers include Akash Chandra Sahoo to Biju Patnaik State Police Academy, Cuttack; Haripriya Nayak to Vigilance; Satyabikash to DIB, Bhadrak and Anshuman Dwivedi to Rayagada.
