Devotees brave rain to celebrate Dussehra

Bhubaneswar (02/10/2025): Despite incessant rainfall triggered by a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal, devotees in large numbers turned up at several puja pandals across Odisha to offer prayers to Goddess Durga on the occasion of Dussehra or Vijaya Dashami. Amid blowing of conch and chants of mantras, the traditional rituals are being performed at puja mandaps in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. The India Meteorological Department has predicted that the deep depression is likely to cross Odisha-Andhra coast in the next 24 hours.

Under the influence of the deep depression, coastal Odisha may witness heavy rainfall.
