Odisha government effects major IAS reshuffle

Bhubaneswar(10/10/2025): In a major administrative reshuffle, the Odisha government on Friday transferred and assigned new responsibilities to several IAS officers across key departments. According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department, N.

Thirumala Naik has been appointed as Secretary of the School and Mass Education Department, while Manasi Nimbhal has been posted as Managing Director of the Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation (OLIC). Surendra Kumar Meena will now serve as Additional Secretary in the ST/SC Development Department, and Subhashree Nanda has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Planning and Coordination Department. Chanchal Rana, Commissioner of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), has been given additional charge as Vice-Chairman of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and Managing Director of Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited. has been assigned additional charge as Secretary of the Mission Shakti Department.

Premjit Nayak takes over as Director of the ST Department, while Deepankar Mahapatra has been appointed as Director of the Tourism Department. Pranati Chhotoray will serve as Additional Secretary in the Home Department, and Nibedita Prusty has been appointed as Managing Director of Boyanika.

Madhusmita Samal will function as Additional Secretary in the Panchayati Raj Department. In addition, Sanjay Biswal has been given additional charge as Additional Secretary of the Commerce and Transport Department.
