Helicopter to be deployed for Nuapada by-election

Bhubaneswar(13/10/2025): The Election Commission has decided to deploy a helicopter for the upcoming Nuapada by-election.

Odisha Chief Electoral Officer R.S.Gopalan informed that helicopter services will be used for 8 polling booths located in remote forest areas to ensure smooth and secure polling. Polling personnel will be flown to these locations and brought back after the voting process concludes. Gopalan informed that 47 booths in Maoist-affected regions have been identified as sensitive, and elaborate security arrangements have been put in place to ensure peaceful polling.
